“If I know somebody is standing there, expecting me to be there, I’ll go, but if it’s a club thing and I pay an annual fee, I’ll go for a month and then I’ll find every reason in the book not to go.” – Carol L, Waterloo

A Lifetime of Competition, A Future of Vitality

My fitness journey didn’t end when I stepped off the national stage as a Team Canada javelin thrower and a university decathlete. With national rankings held throughout 1998–2004, my career began with a foundation of elite performance. Today, in my late 40s, I am still on the court—currently competing in volleyball and proving that the “athlete” inside us doesn’t have to retire.

I founded Peak Fitness Personal Training Ltd. in 2002 after being recognized as one of the top GoodLife Fitness trainers in the country. My goal was to move beyond the ‘big-box’ gym environment to provide a more private, highly personalized experience for my clients. I believe that physical activity and the thrill of competition should never have an expiration date.”

The Volleyball Edge: Performance at Every Level

With over a decade of coaching experience in indoor and beach volleyball, I specialize in the mechanics of the game:

  • Vertical Jump & Explosive Power: Training the “Young Bucks” to reach their peak and helping veteran players maintain their vertical.
  • Sports-Specific Clinics: From high-performance team training to private skill development.
  • Injury Mitigation: Teaching athletes of all ages how to move efficiently to stay on the court longer.

The Master Athlete: Redefining Longevity

Being an active athlete in my 40s has given me a deep, personal perspective on the challenges of an aging body. I work with adults who refuse to let “age” dictate their lifestyle. We focus on:

  • Smart Adaptation: Shifting goals and training smarter to combat muscle loss and cognitive decline.
  • Balance & Resilience: Building a foundation that reduces injury risk and maintains independence.
  • Vitality: Proving that while our training may change, our ability to thrive and compete does not.

“I love empowering people to make lifestyle changes. Whether you’re a high-schooler chasing a scholarship or an adult athlete redefining your limits, there is no better feeling than seeing a client succeed. Age isn’t a barrier—it’s just a change in strategy.”

Stay in the Game.

Everyone needs a way to stay active, regardless of their age. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or just starting a new chapter, I believe that with the right partnership, you can be the next success story. My mission is to provide the expertise you need to lead a more vital, competitive, and injury-free life.

Let’s write your next chapter together
